The Mind-Body Healing Connection
Everything in life, begins with a thought. Your life is a perfect reflection of your thoughts, because your thoughts are the vehicle by which you create your life. Do you love your life? Are you happy with your relationships, your work and your health? If not, it's time to take a look at how you are thinking. You can change your life and your health, by changing the way that you think.
Your Thoughts Are Effecting Your Health
Your thinking could be making you sick! Anger, jealously, guilt, resentment and other emotions of fear, can be the cause of many diseases, even those as serious as cancer. These "diseased" emotions must be understood and released, in order to heal the disease. The mind-body healing connection is a very real thing. Every single thought that you have creates a chemical reaction within your brain. If you are focused on negative thoughts, they will produce a negative reaction within your brain. This negative reaction over time can cause harm to your body in the form of pain and disease. But, if you are focused on positive thoughts, your brain will respond in a positive way. This has a very healing affect on your body and allows your body to remain healthy. It can even help to heal your body when it is already experiencing disease. When you heal the mind, you heal the body. As a Certified Spiritual Tutor, through one-on-one talk sessions, I will work with you to help you change the way you think, to help you change your life.
Your Mind Can Heal Your Body
The mind is a powerful tool of healing. Many scientific studies over the years on the "placebo effect" have proven this power of the mind. And as Norman Cousins experienced, the power of positive thinking should not be underestimated. This is what he used to cure himself of an "incurable", progressive disease. If he can do it, so can you!
Are You Overwhelmed with Depression?
Depression is a normal stage of growth that we all go through at times in our life. Our depressed thinking creates a chemical imbalance within our brain, which can create further problems within our body. If you are eating "conventional" food that is contaminated with toxic chemicals, these chemicals are likely to increase this chemical imbalance and increase your depression. Conventional treatment for depression is through medication. This does little to eliminate the cause of the problem, and can even create further imbalance within your brain. As Kathy Oddenino explains in her book "Depression: Our Normal Transitional Emotions", "Depression is a mind screaming for change." Depression is what motivates us to change. With change comes growth. Understanding depression in this way can help you move through it more quickly and effectively. I can help you learn how to create the change you are "screaming for".
My one-on-one teaching sessions are designed to help those who are striving to create change within themselves and their lives and realize an abundance of health, happiness, peace, joy and love.
